Weighty Whimsies

Print

I spent fall 2018 at the Iskra Print Collective learning silk screening techniques while concurrently going through chemotherapy, mastectomy and radiation for stage III breast cancer. It was inevitable that the culminating work I made deals with the facts of my cancer: Hair loss, neuropathy, pills and radiation mapping. The prints are more whimsical and spontaneous than weighty and predetermined because I felt (and still feel!) like a third person observer of my own experience with breast cancer.
